Starboard Touring
Fast. Smooth. Stable. Built for Distance.
The Starboard Touring is designed for paddlers who want efficiency, speed and confidence on longer journeys. Inspired by Starboard’s race-winning DNA, it blends glide, tracking and stability for a refined long-distance experience — whether you’re exploring coastline, lakes, rivers or inland waterways.
With balanced volume and clever storage solutions, this is the board built for adventure.
Who It's For
Ideal for paddlers of all levels who want:
-
A faster glide than an all-round board
-
Comfortable stability for long distances
-
Space to carry gear or expedition equipment
-
A design that works in mixed conditions (flatwater, chop, light swell)
If you want one touring board that’s efficient, predictable and capable — this is it.
Key Design Features
Inspired by Raceboard Performance
Borrowing design elements from Starboard’s Sprint race board, the Touring features a straight rocker line for effortless forward glide and a clean hydrodynamic profile that wastes no energy.
Thin Sharp Slicing Nose
A tall squared racing nose profile helps the board skim silently across the surface while minimising splash and nose dive — especially in chop. This also boosts acceleration and efficiency.
Specialised Front Storage Zone
A secure bag storage system sits forward of the stance area, lowering the centre of gravity and keeping weight distribution balanced. Easy access during long sessions means quick access to food, layers, hydration or safety gear.
Bungee Tie-Downs
Multiple cargo zones (nose + tail) allow for multi-day touring loadouts, dry bags or lightweight adventure setups.
(Lite Tech versions include nose storage only.)
Recessed Standing Area
A deeper standing tray lowers rider height, improving stability and connection to the board — especially important when carrying heavier loads.
Straight & Deep Bottom Channel
A carefully sculpted channel aids tracking and glide, helping the board hold a straighter line so you paddle more efficiently and change sides less often.
Boxy Rails with Chamfered Edge
Stability is boosted by boxy rails, while chamfered edges release water cleanly to reduce drag and keep the deck drier.
Low Nose Rocker
Extends the waterline for maximum gliding efficiency in flat and semi-flat water.
Flat Tail & Side Planes
Designed to minimise drag disturbance and increase speed, while retaining stability during step-back turns and loaded paddling.
Swept-Back Fin
Improves tracking efficiency by resisting sideways drift — ideal for long, straight stretches.
2-in-1 Shoulder Strap System
Integrated mounts allow carrying the board hands-free while also functioning as a paddle holder.

Why We Recommend It
The Starboard Touring hits the sweet spot between speed, efficiency and comfort. It's faster than a beginner all-rounder but far more stable and forgiving than a race board — making it perfect for paddlers exploring further distances, training sessions, multi-day adventures or simply cruising with confidence.
