Introducing the new Infinity Blackfish: a race board that's become legendary in the world of Stand Up Paddleboarding. Infinity has once again raised the bar with this latest version designed by the renowned Dave Boehne. The new Blackfish perfectly blends versatility and flat-water speed, making it a go-to for both seasoned pros and ambitious racers.
These should be landing in December 2024
This version of the Blackfish is a serious upgrade. It now boasts our all-new Team Elite Carbon construction, featuring an EPS foam core fully encased in a PVC shell and wrapped in carbon fibre. The result? The lightest and most durable Blackfish ever. It delivers arguably the best strength-to-weight ratio on the market, reinforcing Infinity's reputation for unmatched quality.
The Blackfish is an all-around genius, revolutionising the industry with its innovative hybrid planning hull—a surf-inspired design applied to raceboards. And its track record speaks for itself: multiple world titles, gold medals, and wins in everything from flat-water sprints and distance races to ocean and surf competitions. It’s trusted by top athletes like Candice Appleby, Arthur Arutkin, and Kai Lenny, to name a few of the elite “ SPEED FREAKS” pushing the Blackfish to its limits.
Known for its quick acceleration and stability in any condition, the Blackfish is the ultimate one-board quiver—ready to take on whatever Mother Nature throws at you. Many brands have since adopted the centre channel concept that Infinity pioneered in 2014, but the 2025 Blackfish takes it even further with a fully redesigned nose and bottom. For the first time since its inception, the Blackfish’s nose has been completely reimagined—now taller, sharper, and more pointed. The volume has been pulled back, enhancing efficiency, especially in upwind conditions. This new design “stabs” through swells and creates a smoother, quieter entry in flat water, translating to greater glide and efficiency across all conditions.
The updated bottom shape retains its hybrid planning hull, offering excellent stability while gliding seamlessly in any water. Its rolled hull design and inverse vee panel allow for a clean release and sprint-ready speed, making it feel like “skipping a stone” as it rockets off the line.
For 2025, Dave has also refined the flat deck. It now features a 1.5” recess for added stability, giving riders a secure, wide stance that's perfect for those who love to move around the board. Responding to feedback from the Infinity race team, the narrower versions (21.5" and 23") now come with a slightly sunken deck and a single drain for added comfort in dynamic water conditions.
If you’re after the most versatile, easy-to-paddle board in the Infinity race board line up, designed to handle everything from flat lakes to open ocean and choppy waters, look no further. This new Infinity Blackfish is ready for any adventure you have in mind.
